Job Vacancy – General Ledger Accounting Supervisor Company: Fayhaa Pharma Location: Basra – Al-Zubair, Iraq Fayhaa Pharma is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accounting Supervisor to oversee general ledger activities, ensure accurate accounting records, and support timely financial closing and reporting. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise general ledger activities and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments. * Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. * Review general ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding differences. * Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, additions, and disposals. * Support financial statement preparation and management reporting. * Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Treasury, and Financial Planning and Analysis teams. * Support internal and external audits and strengthen accounting processes and controls. Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. * Relevant experience in general ledger accounting and financial closing, including team supervision. * Manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. * Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting. * Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. * CPA, ACCA, or a relevant professional qualification is an advantage. * Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
